WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR MASSAGE THERAPY SESSION

Massage therapy allows the body to achieve deep states of relaxation. This stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for classic 'rest & digest' operations; repair, rebuild, recover. Increased circulation brings nutrient rich blood to damaged muscle and connective tissues. Also, increased lymphatic drainage promotes the removal of metabolic waste which can reduce muscle soreness. 

 

Typically I recommend deep tissue sessions to active individuals who want to maintain optimal performance, recover from specific injuries, and stay healthy between strenuous efforts. Before and after competitions, between workouts, or 'as needed' sessions. Regular maintenance contributes to enhanced functionality and quality of life.
